Packing for any trip is never easy, so use our list of recommended items for camp to help you pack! Nobody wants to be that camper that arrives without running shoes. 

Due to the terrain, we recommend you wear shoes that give you more support than barefoot or five finger products.

What to Bring to Camp

  • Running shoes (two pairs is best in case one pair gets wet or muddy)
  • Regular shoes (to wear when not running)
  • T-shirts
  • Exercise shorts
  • Casual clothing (to wear when not running)
  • Sweatpants/leggings and sweatshirts/pullovers for cooler evenings
  • Socks (You will need lots of these. Seriously)
  • Underwear (PLEASE bring lots of underwear)
  • Sheets (For a twin bed) or sleeping bag
  • Pillows
  • Blanket
  • Bathing suit (Girls, please bring a one piece or a shirt to cover your two piece)
  • 2 Towels
  • Toiletries (toothpaste deodorant, lotion, etc.)
  • Shower stuff (shampoo, soap, conditioner)
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, chap stick
  • Money for snacks ($10-$20)
  • Sleep clothes
  • Laundry bag
  • Notebook and pens
  • Sandals/shower shoes
  • Runner’s watch

Optional Items:

  • Camera
  • Snacks that don’t need refrigeration
  • iPod or personal music devices (cannot be used while running)
  • Bug Spray
  • Flashlight

What NOT to Bring to Camp

You will be sent home without a refund if you bring any weapons, illicit drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products.  UDC Sports and Wide Open Camps and Clinics assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items. We recommend that you do not bring anything of significant monetary value.

  • No alcohol, drugs, or tobacco products
  • No electronic gaming devices
  • No expensive valuables including jewelry or watches
  • No laptops
  • No iPads
  • No music system speakers
  • No pets
  • No fireworks
  • No obscene clothing, pictures, books, or articles
  • No guns, firearms, or other weapons
